On behalf of the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors, I would like to extend a warm and hearty welcome to the 2006 Harvest Days Farm Tour. This experience emphasizes the rural character and agricultural heritage of Culpeper County. Agriculture has been and is today a viable and vital part of our economy. Agriculture helps Culpeper County maintain a balance between our rural nature and the growth pressures we are facing. Agriculture is a part of our heritage and must be preserved for future generations. Our theme for this year’s farm tour is “Commerce Grows on the Farm.” We hope you will experience true farming as it relates to our modern economy here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
