Even when he was a businessman in the fast-paced corporate world, Bob Wollam always harbored a love for gardening. Seems that his love of flowers and all things green was so overwhelming that “making the green” in corporate America soon took a back seat.

Bob Wollam moved to his 11-acre, 200-year-old farm in Jeffersonton in 1988. Soon his self-proclaimed “addiction” to plants and beautiful flowers took over. Through plenty of research and trial-and-error, Bob now sells both commercially to florists in Washington, D.C. and retails his cut flowers at farmer’s markets. Wollam Gardens keeps Bob and company busy from March through November. If you think growing flowers is easy... think again! Bob had to create a master plan and schedule for the planting and cutting of more than 80 varieties of flowers!

If you are a gardening enthusiast, or simply love beautiful flowers, a tranquil country setting, and butterflies filling the air, Wollam Gardens is a must-see during the Culpeper Harvest Days Farm Tour 2006!

Directions from Culpeper - Take 229N to the intersection of Route 621 and 802 (Jeffersonton). Travel South on Route 621 about 200 yards, to sign on left.

Site Activity - Garden tours from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Fresh cut garden bouquets and selected plants for fall planting will be for sale.
