Participating Saturday & Sunday
The Piedmont Railroaders is an organization for railroad enthusiasts
of all ages. Founded in Warrenton, Virginia in 1995, the group
provides a place where members can share their interests in
railroading through various community activities such as public
train shows and town-supported festivals.
The Farm Tour is pleased to have the Piedmont Railroaders display
their delightful elaborate model train layouts in the depot.
Railroads have been synonymous with agriculture throughout
American history. They are vital to transport grains, livestock,
equipment, seed, supplies, fertilizer, wood products, milk —
virtually everything produced by or needed on the farm.
The Piedmont Railroaders will offer three displays: a 13’ x 18’ “G”
gauge layout, a 10’ x 13’ LEGO layout, and a 12’x56’ “HO” gauge
layout. This is a hobby for young and old alike because everyone
loves a train!
Site
Activity: Train
displays on both Saturday & Sunday.
Located
in the Depot:
Take Main Street and look for signs to the Visitors Center. Turn
onto East Davis Street and follow to Commerce Street and The
Depot.
