Events Schedule

Welcome Center at The Depot, Farmers' Market & Piedmont Railroaders - Lots of free goodies at the welcome center. Farm-fresh produce, baked goods, cut flowers, and plants will be available for sale at the Farmer's Market. Train displays on both Saturday & Sunday at the Piedmont Railroaders.

Andora Farm - Horse and cattle penning demonstrations. This farm will only be participating on Saturday.

Ashland Farm - Try your hand at milking a cow the oldfashioned way, tours of the dairy facility, calves to pet. They offer straw, alfalfa hay, timothy hay, and ears of corn for sale. This farm will only be participating on Sunday.

Belmont Farm & Distillery - Live music 12 to 3 — Saturday - The Country Troubadours, Sunday - Homemade Jam. Lunch served by the Knights of Columbus (proceeds benefit charity). Tours of antique distilling equipment and gift shop items available for purchase.

Cibola Farm - Ongoing tours of farm, petting zoo, hayrides. Lunch menu: Buffalo burgers & buffalo hot dogs for sale 11 am - 3 pm. This farm will only be participating on Sunday.

CFC Farm & Home Center - The theme will be “The Biggest Farm Animal Show in Town”. Visitors will enjoy seeing a variety of animals including the less common such as llamas from LLamarada Farm. There will be horsemanship and roping demonstrations throughout the day by Tony Hernandez. His skills are inspiring to watch. Culpeper 4H will be serving food and beverages including free milk and ice-cream donated by Md. Va. Milk Producers Cooperative. Grooming by Joann will give pet grooming demonstrations. The United States Equine Rescue League and Culpeper Humane Society will also have information on their work and pet adoption. Tour our newly remodeled store, grab a bite to eat and watch the animals in action. Check the farm tour website for updates on activities. This farm will only be participating on Saturday.

Freestate Llamas - Watch llamas traverse an Alpaca and Llama Show Association (ALSA) standard obstacle course to learn more about the versatility and intelligence of these wonderful beasts of burden. Peruse the lovely woven and knitted items made from llama wool that are offered for sale, or spend some time petting the goats. Take home some llama manure for your fall plantings and you’ll be hooked that it’s the finest fertilizer known to any gardener.

Kelly's Ford Equestrian Center: Civil War living history presentations, cannon demonstrations on the hour, equine massage demonstrations, hayrides on an antique truck from World War II. This farm will only be participating on Sunday.

Meadowdean Farm - Hand-milking demo of dairy goats, hay rides through the property and along the river, log splitting and apple cider press demonstrations. Farm fresh goat cheese and bake sale treats will be available for donation to the 4-H Club. Cowboy Church will be held on Sunday.

Mystic Hill: Tour of cattle and horse operation. This farm will only be participating on Sunday.

Oakshade Farm - Blacksmithing, weaving, rug hooking demonstrations. Discussion of Christmas tree production, organic farming, shiitake mushrooms, beekeeping, fruit trees and jam making. There is a self-directed native plant pathway through the woods with identification of plants. Honey, beeswax candles, jams, weavings, rugs and ironwork will be available for purchase as well as mushrooms, if in season. This farm will only be participating on Sunday.

Old House Vineyard - Wine tastings, tours of the wine cellar, grape stomping, and hay rides both days. Hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries and sodas available for sale both days. Wine, gifts, and local cheeses available.

Rocky Top Farm - Horse pulled wagon rides 10 to noon each day, Masters Hands Puppets performances Saturday, noon to 4, Orange Cloggers Sunday 2-3, sheep shearing demonstrations, sack races and egg in spoon relays, a petting zoo with assorted animals, tots maze, a hazel nut grove and garden maze, a hay mountain for climbing and jumping, and a 50 foot super slide. For a nominal fee you can also enjoy a country-themed mini golf course, a moon bounce, and a pumpkin/gourd/Indian corn patch for you to “pick your own” fall decorations. Come enjoy some of Rocky Top’s home grown pork BBQ and other tasty treats prepared by Salem Volunteer Fire Department under the shaded picnic area.

Unicorn Winery - Informative conversations on winemaking and grape growing in addition to wine tastings. There is a $2 wine tasting fee. Wine, snacks, and gifts will be available for purchase in the gift shop.

Wollam Gardens - Garden tours from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Fresh cut garden bouquets and selected plants for fall planting will be for sale. This farm will only be participating on Saturday.
